Dr Sivakamy Ayngkaran completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2016. In 2024, she achieved her second fellowship, the Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP), followed by the Rural Generalist Fellowship in 2025. She also holds a Certificate in Emergency Medicine from the Australian College for Emergency Medicine (2014).
Since 2016, Dr Ayngkaran has been one of the principal practitioners at Oberon Medical Centre.
She graduated from medical school in Sri Lanka in 2007 with a strong interest in critical care and rural medicine, which guided her early career. After moving to Australia in 2009, she worked as an emergency doctor at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals. In 2014, motivated by her passion for rural medicine, she relocated to Oberon, where she continues to serve the community today.
Dr Sivakamy Ayngkaran provides comprehensive care across all areas of General Practice, with special interests in Preventive Health, Chronic Disease Management, Wound Care, Mental Health, Women’s Health, and Indigenous Health.
Outside of medicine, Dr Sivakamy Ayngkaran is a passionate classical Bharatanatyam dancer who continues to learn and perform. She also enjoys creative writing, yoga, and spending time in nature. She shares her life with her husband, Dr Ainkharan Ayngkaran, and their two young children.
