MBBS, FRACGP, Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Medicine
Dr Ganesan Senthan (MBBS, FRACGP; Postgrad Dip in Critical Care Medicine) is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner at Oberon Medical Centre. He earned his medical degree in 2009, Sri and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Medicine from the University of Colombo.
Following graduation, Dr Senthan gained extensive experience in both critical care and emergency medicine before discovering his affinity for rural general practice. He worked in emergency departments at Campbelltown, Camden, and Fairfield Hospitals.
Since settling in Oberon, Dr Senthan has embraced his role as a rural generalist, deeply valuing the connectedness of community-based care. He joined the Oberon Medical Centre team three years ago, undergoing training through the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) and subsequently achieving his GP fellowship (FRACGP) in 2024.
Dr Senthan provides comprehensive care across all areas of General Practice. His special interests include Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Pediatric Medicine, Mental Health, and Indigenous Health.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr Senthan is a talented classical Mridangam player and a keen writer—pursuits that enrich his life and underline his cultural roots. He and his wife happily raise two young sons in Oberon, fully embracing rural life and its rewards.
