Dr Sharin De Silva is a highly experienced General Practitioner at Oberon Medical Centre. He completed his General Practice Fellowship (FRACGP) in 2016.
After graduating with an MBBS in 2004, Dr De Silva began his medical career as a critical-care doctor while practising part-time as a GP. From 2009, he worked as an emergency physician at hospitals in Liverpool, Campbelltown, and Camden. In 2013, joined Oberon Medical Centre.
Dr De Silva holds an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery (AdCer) and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), enhancing his expertise in both skin cancer procedures and pediatric care. He is one of two accredited skin practitioners at Oberon Medical Centre, offering comprehensive skin cancer management services, including lesion removal and biopsies, through the practice’s dedicated skin clinic.
He also serves as a General Practitioner Training Supervisor, guiding junior doctors through their professional journey towards a GP fellowship. Additionally, he operates his own medical services business at Oberon Medical Centre under ABN 38 162 933 440.
Dr De Silva delivers a full scope of general practice, with special interests in Men’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Emergency Medicine, Palliative Care, Minor Surgery, Skin Cancer Surgery, and Skin Checks.
Outside of work, Dr De Silva is a devoted father of three sons. He enjoys gardening, travelling, and playing his electronic organ, reflecting his warm, well-rounded character.
